Welcome

Thanks for dropping by!!

Do you have a child (baby, teenager, young adult) with a challenge in learning, social, behavior, movement that makes life difficult?

Do you need some help figuring out the best way to help him or her gain the abilities needed to live life with ease?

I’ve worked with children with different kinds of challenges (for example: learning disabilities, attention challenges, autism spectrum disorders, babies who are not moving the way they should) for over 20 years. My journey started with my own child, and soon I was researching, training, gaining experience and working with other families.

When we realize that our child has a challenge, our first thought may be to help with the outward representations of that challenge. For example, if a child struggles with math, we might think he or she needs more practice with math. If a child has behaviour issues, we might think we need to focus on behaviour strategies.

I believe that instead of focusing on symptoms, we can help most effectively by determining what early developmental gaps are causing the problem. The earliest foundational steps in development are the integration of primitive reflexes (you can explore this website under “therapies” for more information on reflexes). Most often this is where the problem lies, and where the work begins.

When I understand which steps in development have been missed, I create customized programs to facilitate true developmental progress. I use information gained from assessment along with my training and experience to formulate this plan for your child. I work one-on-one with children, or I train parents and monitor home programs.

As a parent, you are the expert on your child. You know your child’s strengths and challenges and are committed to to helping him or her succeed. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in determining the underlying problems and creating plans to address them. Together, we will help your child succeed.
